We are excited to bring a new feature to our web site called Antiquities, offering unique items from around the world in limited quantities. It's an opportunity to pass along some of my collections, beads, textiles, silver, fossils... a tangible way to share my fascinations. Objects in the Antiquities "room" will be of interest to collectors who love the rare and extraordinary. Once an item is sold out its gone, only the images will remain cataloged as our private "museum," I hope these items bring you joy.

These intensely beautiful beads date to the 1960's, from Qom, Iran and are like nothing you've ever seen before. They are Faience (crushed quartz), which is the worlds oldest artificial substance, (even older than glass) are handmade, self glazed, fire polished, used for apotropaic purposes keeping evil forces away. Also known as Levant Six Eyes beads, the top surface is rounded, flat on bottom, most (eyes) holes are open, from the images you can see some of the glaze flows into the holes and pools. Hold to your eye, peer through the holes to see the world in a beautiful way and good fortune will follow. Use these as buttons, earrings, or stitch to a choker.

Made in the same manner for centuries, these pieces are made one by one so no two are identical. Trade with Western countries has made these original old pieces a scarcity. Limited quantity.
