"Not All Who Wander Are Lost" with RELICS & ARTIFACTS® Ambassador Cat Kerr
This piece was created in about two days (on and off), which is really fast for me because it takes me forever to come up with something I like. I see so many other artists that create at lightning speed, but not me. I'm like a snail, a “take my time, only if it feels right” snail. I used to wish I could create faster but whenever I attempted it, I ended up not liking the results.
Eventually, I realized I can't change my process of creating. It flows through me, filtered by my life lessons and it likes to take it slow. For all of us, those lessons are faithful only to the individual, unique to only you. Creativity passes through us like a current of electricity and our life lessons process and refine it. For some it passes quickly, for others at a snail's pace. It comes from such a deep place, that it's understandable why we each translate it in our way, in our own time.
So keep that in mind if you compare yourself or your art to others. We all get there, some faster than others, but I for one have learned to appreciate the slime I leave behind.
