BREAKING NEWS: An archaeological team in search of Relics & Artifacts® have just uncovered a cache of monumental historic value near some ancient Italian ruins. The location is believed to be the earthly haven of Venus, the Goddess of Beauty and Love.
Although Venus is one of the most well-known of all the gods and goddesses of ancient Rome (famously depicted in song and art), little is known about how she was able to implement her abilities until now!
This find vastly increases our knowledge of the apothecary skills of the Roman deity.
Among the unearthed objects were several vials, inscribed only with the Roman numeral IX . This potion, marked 9, is likely the long-sought after Elixir of Love. Also uncovered, this exact concoction on the tips of arrows, which evidence suggests the arrowheads belonged to the Cupids, children of Venus, furthering the belief this was indeed Venus's earthly apothecary.
Possibly the most exciting of these finds is the discovery of a heart shaped, pottery handled brush pendant. Although a bit rusty, it is in near immaculate condition. This is believed to be the tool which Venus used to administer her potion. Further testing proves that the potion from the vials and arrows is consistent with the traces found on this brush's bristles.
Scientists have identified partial potion components as pearl dust, white rose, myrtle and seafoam. It is yet to be determined if the potion can be replicated in modern labs.
