Boho Chic Gypsy Bottles with Relics & Artifacts® Ambassador Chrissy Colón
You know what I am a super fan of? High impact with simplistic construction. I am always drawn to things that appear to be overly complicated to assemble but in reality, there really isn't much to them, especially if I'm feeling a need to jumpstart my creative magic.
At the same time, I love things that just beckon to be touched, held, and felt. That would explain why this simple project called to me the moment I laid eyes on sari ribbon.
I'm sure this iconic shape is a dead giveaway as to what was used as a substrate. Upcycling is so on-trend right now, as is drinking fine whiskey. With its lovely "panels" and unique shape, it's the perfect window for showcasing some of the coolest 100 year old paper in my arsenal as well a Relic from the "Regalis" set. Of course, what is a gypsy bottle without charms and danglies?
I like to say I'm an indiscriminate crafter. I like to spread the artsy love by mixing shapes, patterns, and sizes.
Have I told you all how much I just love Verday paint? I'm sure I have but in case you missed it, I love Verday paint! Seriously, as clumsy as I can be, this paint is virtually foolproof and it highlights the sweet details of my resin craft blank like a dream.
And look! More charming danglies!
Did you happen to notice the Dresden trim that accents the tops of these bottles? I'm telling you, it's the bee's knees when it comes to "that little something" your work in progress is jonesin' for.
Because I'm a lover of mixing, I needed a different type of Relic to add for the last bottle, the one I affectionately call, "Li'l Stubby". He's a short little guy but he packs a punch with that vivid pink paint and lace fabric overlay.
If there is one thing I have learned to do, it is to save all jewelry! This shiny floral is an old brooch I bought years ago and stopped wearing.
See what I mean? Don't you just want to dig through all of the cool jars and bottles you may have stashed away? A few pieces of scrap jewelry, some bits and baubles, scrap fabric or sari ribbon, and your favorite Relics & Artifacts® pieces will leave you needing to bust out the mojo and hot glue gun.
Cheers!
