Winter Wonderland - Ambassador Monica Downing

The Relics & Artifacts Egg Shrine. So many possibilities. When I spotted a pair (yep I have 2, and I fully intend on using them LOL) of gorgeous vintage candle holders at the antique store, I knew it would be the perfect vehicle for what I wanted to create.

The candleholders were already painted up with this beautiful cream colored paint with small hints of a soft blue showing through.

I had just purchased a newly released printable image kit from one of my favorite digital artists and I found just the right combination of images to use as the focal point in the egg shrine.

I collaged torn paper inside of the egg, then painted the outside of the egg with a soft light blue.

I covered the back side of the egg with German glitter glass, then framed the front of the egg with the gorgeous Relics & Artifacts Diamond Bohemian Jewels.

I’ve also used the Aquamarine Bohemian Jewels on the base, and both the diamond and aquamarine jewels on the bottle brush Xmas Trees.

I replaced the chain attaching the candle snifter to the base with a strand of beautiful faceted crystal gems.

That stunning crystal piece on top I picked up at the craft store.

This piece will look beautiful as part of my Christmas décor and I’ll be able to leave it out through the winter months as well.
