Fuse- A Collaboration Continues
The artists of Relics & Artifacts have joined with the artists of RubberMoon Stamps for a unique collaboration called Fuse. Today’s installment features Relics & Artifacts Ambassador, Heather Thompson.
“I was paired with Sandee Setliff, who has such a unique and colorful style. Her paintings and artwork show others that she is bright and full of life. And when we decided on what we were going to do, I really did want to try one of Sandee's amazing and colourful backgrounds.”
“Well, she made me 4 to choose from, all so unique and colorful and such a scrummy colour variations. But my heart was drawn to my style. I choose the one that called to me.”
“I wanted my piece to pull from the colour of the sand texture the background had, I chose colours to match the colour that was peeking through that rustic weathered look on the canvas .”
“I choose the heart from the Spirit Treasures and I chose to use one of the iconic faces from the RubberMoon collections, I added some rice paper to the heart to give it that wedded texture before stamping.”
“After some painting and some crackle glaze, I added some dirty wash to the piece, letting the paint gently bleed on to the heart around the edges. Overall, an amazing piece that I really do enjoy and am happy with the end result.”
