Fragments- Six Ways

Kae Pea Collage

We are pleased to announce the release of Sandra Evertson’s new line of ArtFoamies called Fragments.

Here are some quick projects from our Muse Team, along with Kae Pea and Sandra, for you to try and/or use as inspiration for your own Artworks.

Jenn Pipe- Art Foamies and Alcohol Ink!

Are you looking for a quick and incredibly fun way to get the most bang for your buck in your crafting sessions? Try pairing these three things: alcohol inks, the new Relics & Artifacts Art Foamies stamps, and Alcohol Lift Ink.

Jenn Pipe

To try this technique, you will want to apply the alcohol ink to your non-porous substrate of choice (I used Yupo paper) and let it dry completely. Apply the Alcohol Lift Ink to the stamp and then immediately press the stamp into the alcohol ink background. When you lift the stamp up, you’ll notice that the inks have been removed from your background. Now have your porous substrate (cardstock, old books pages, fabric, etc) ready to accept that beautiful ink you just lifted! Take the same stamp that you just pressed into your alcohol ink background and now press it onto your porous substrate.

Jenn Pipe

You’ll notice that the beautiful background inks have now been transferred to a different background. One of the coolest things about this technique is that you are going to have both the negative and positive alcohol ink impressions to work with in your artwork.

Give it a shot and let us know what you turn your prints into!

Jenn White- Stamped Scrapbook Page

MUSE Jenn White created an elegant custom stamped piece of scrapbooking paper in less than 10 minutes using Sandra Evertson's brand new ECHO ANGEL ArtFoamie.

Jenn White began by measuring to see if 4 stampings of ECHO ANGEL would fit on a sheet of 12"x12" smooth solid black scrapbook paper she had in her paper stash, and was delighted to discover that they will fit if you overlap the points on the end of the foam stamp design in the center of the paper.

Jenn White

She inked up the Echo Angel foam art stamp with the Moonlight White Moonlight Duo Tint and Hue Ink Pad and stamped Echo Angel in the centers of all four sides of the black scrapbook paper, inking it each time & lining up the design points in the center of the paper beginning in the center of the outer edge.

Jenn White

Such a beautiful & spiritual result!

She also plans on using this stamped paper as a background for a piece of mixed media art along with Sandra's resin craft blank set Excalibur.

Thank you for sharing this inspiring idea with all of us Jenn White!

Kristen Powers- Collage

Kae Pea created this 12x12 collage by ‘inking’ each of Sandra’s new ‘fragment’ ArtFoamies™️ with a bit of teal watercolor and then ‘inking’ them again with bronze acrylic paint and stamping them onto some rice paper. Using Sandra’s crown stamp to print some ‘ghost prints’ in the background and then over stamping, very lightly, a large script foam stamp to achieve a bit of pattern and texture.

She then used soft gel medium to apply the stamped rice paper onto a 12x12 inch cradled board.

Milagros C Rivera- Wearable Evangeline

I couldn’t wait to wear my beautiful Evangeline so I decided to brave the ancient shrunk plastic and give it a spin. I promise you a scary ride but worth it in the end when you get to wear her!

First step is to stamp her on the surface using ink

Using a pair of scissors cut around her silhouette, no need to get fuzzy

Using a hole punch mark her where you want her to hang. I wanted to punch both wings for balance and appreciation of her beauty

Here comes the scary part, once you start heating it up!

Because it will curl and you’ll scream but it’ll work in the end I promise

Using jewelry pliers hook it to some pretty beads and voila you’ll have an Angel to carry with you!

Sandra Evertson- Mirror Embossing

This is a super simple 4 step process that creates absolutely magical results.

Sandra Evertson

Supplies:

Bonehead ArtFoamie

Wow Embossing Ink pad Ultra Slow Drying Clear

Fractured Ice Embossing powder Seth Apter for Emerald Creek

Craft Store or Thrift Store mirror

Heat Gun

1. Ink up your ArtFoamie so it’s nice and juicy.

2. Carefully stamp directly onto the mirror, do not wiggle the foamie just pull it straight up when removing.

3. Sprinkle with embossing powder. Gently shake off access.

4. Give a few bursts from your heat gun to cure the embossing powder and you’re done.

Now you have a mysterious little crystal reflection staring back at you. I can think of a million different uses for this little treasure!
