Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skull
Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skull
Dia de los Muertos is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. It is a multi day event involving family and friends gathering to remember those who have deceased and to support them on their spiritual journey. During the celebrations sugar skulls were colorfully decorated and given as of offerings. In the Mexican culture, death is viewed as a natural part of the human cycle, not as a day of sadness but a day of rejoice because their loved ones awaken and celebrate with them. Isn’t that wonderful! Our “sugar” skull is hand cast in Stone Resin ready to be decorated. This pretty palm sized skull is dressed in their finest floral wreath. I see this piece painted in beautiful bright colors, mounted on a wood block or box, framed or even drilled out and a candle placed inside.
