Santiago De Compostela Nicho
Santiago De Compostela Nicho
A sweet hand sculpted 3 piece nicho and components in the Cuzco Folk Art style. The scallop shell is a symbol of baptism in Christianity and legend in Greek mythology. Scallop shells were used to guide pilgrims along the Camino de Santiago showing the way to the cathedral. Over hundreds of years it became an emblem associated with a heavenly afterlife and has been interpreted as a vessel of transportation over the sea to a paradisiacal realm. All such wonderfully appealing imagery. Then there are layer upon layer of drapery that begs to be painted. And finally a tulip (associated with love, rebirth and new beginnings) shaped bottom shelf to balance it all out.
*Note this set is 3 pieces. Shown here with other RELICS and ARTIFACTS® resin castings to provide inspiration and ideas to customize it. A thick and substantial stone resin casting.
Use a glue like E6000 or even Apoxie Sculpt to attach components.
