This Bassarid Cameo was taken directly from a very fine antique Italian carving.

Each piece is poured in a proprietary mixture of silicates for heft and dimension. Along with other base components. I love that you can see the shifts in color the silicates add when held to the light. It has a subtle luster and sheen.

I have left it unfinished allowing the craft artisan to finish it as desired. Simply add a light wash to highlight the features and affix it to a frame, brooch back, cuff bracelet, assemblage, art doll, display under a glass dome with light or bezel of your liking.
