Who doesn’t love giving or receiving a love note? Over the years my husband and I have left many love notes for each other in different ways. I have found them hanging from my mirror or written on the mirror in the bathroom. I've found them in my car, a text on my phone, a crazy drawing with a silly note on the dry erase calendar. We have always had fun with it and it means the world to me that he loves giving them as much as receiving them.
I made this piece to hang on our refrigerator. It’s really a great place to have something like this because it’s literally IN YOUR FACE. I mean seriously, how many times do we go to the fridge on a daily basis?
The heart I used as the center piece for this project is from the Relics and Artifacts® "Flaming Hearts Ex Voto I" set and I used the heart with the "GR" in the center. The GR means “Gratis Received” so it was perfect!
I decorated the little mini chalkboard note holder using papers from Prima’s "The Optimist" paper line.
Speaking of this paper, check out this sweet little story about the paper pad. I had this in my cart on Amazon, next thing I know it was on the coffee table one day when I got home from work. When I saw it I said, "Where did this come from?" Hubby said, "It was in your Amazon cart so I got it for you because I love you." So it was the perfect time to use the perfect papers on this project.
The very cool thing about the tags is they are chalkboard paper. That means they can be used repeatedly and this is totally something fun the whole family can get in on!
I hope you are inspired to make a "Love Notes" magnet and possibly start a new tradition for yourself and your loved ones.
