Hi My name is Etsuko and I am so excited to be the Relics & Artifacts Guest Ambassador this month. This is a great opportunity and honor to me.
I am keen on that charm from the beginning of R & A's release and it captured me.
I live in a small town in Japan with my husband and 2 cats, I am very happy because we have managed to closed our sports shop that we ran for over 30 years and I have time to do whatever I want now. Since there are no paper craft shops and classrooms around, I shop all over the internet for materials and also for learning.
When I was a little girl, the handmade paper dolls of my mother, the paper angels with wings bought from the church bazaar, used greeting cards, accessories from the dollhouse, my treasure box were loaded with lots of them and carried around all the time. Now if I think about it, my favorite thing is different in shape and has not changed at all.
Though I have no art expertise, what echoes in my heart always leads me and I'm going through that creative exploring day and night.
First of all, I prepared R & A 's Papillon and Persona's favorite baby face, and I came up with an idea to decorate it in a shrine used in wonderful Mary Jane Chadbourne's internet class two years ago. Also I painted them with white Gesso.
First I imagined a little chatty fairy of the movie Labyrinth.
Papillon and Persona used for the focal point were painted with Fresco paints and the background I used Prima design paper with glued script tissue paper.
Also I added the Imperial Eggs parts for the top and Dresden Trim Gold Medallions for the bottom.
I painted by yellow Fresco Finish and stamped the Fiesta Crown
by Archival Cactus Flower for the interior and when dried I used One Step Crackle.
I was not happy with the door results.
I used black gesso as a base and painted two colors of blue on top and when it dried I used sanding paper. But I wanted vintage tone and I did too much sanding. So I stenciled Tim's arabesque gold paint when it dried I used the One Step Crackle to finish.
The result of the interior door was not happy, so this door was painted blue and then wiped off with a kitchen paper, it worked!! Then I used some stencil with Prima Modeling Paste on the door. Finally I decorated these beautiful Floras on the Labyrinth doors.
I wanted these Flora's color simple almost same as the doors.
When I painted around doors I used gold wax on these flowers and doors.
Finally I stamped the sentiments inside both doors and finished the project.
I hope you have enjoyed my project and I enjoyed to making this project.
Thank you so much to the team at Relics & Artifacts and I will send you a big hug.
And thank you Etsuko for sharing your beautiful Artwork with us!
